The National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certifies interior designers in the United States and Canada with a 13 1/2-hour, closed-book exam, offered every April and October. The exam is divided into three sections, each of which may be taken individually.Interior Construction and Detailing is a popular textbook for design curricula.
