"Fork Your Own Broncs" is a short story from one of L'Amour's collections, Dutchman's Flat (1986), while "The Sixth Shotgun" is from The Outlaws of Mesquite (1991). Both stories are well performed and are accompanied by sound effects and music. "Fork Your Own Broncs" is the story of Mac Marcy, who has worked to save enough money to buy his own ranch. Marcy soon finds that it takes more than hard work to be a successful rancher, especially when the competition gets nasty. "The Sixth Shotgun" is Leo Carver's story, and if the town of Canyon Gap has anything to say in the matter, it's going to be a very short tale indeed, as Leo has been convicted of murdering two men and faces death by hanging. Neither of these short stories are classics, although they should prove popular among L'Amour's fans.
